Why can't I get CD or iPod audio from my Alpine CDA-9885?
Aug 20, 2007 by YC
I can get audio from the tuner is good, but no sound from everything else.
I installed in my '03 RSX Type-S with one son Metra harness that allows you to feed pre-outs to the amp works. All the information appears correctly on both CD and iPod but I do not understand any sound.
Thank you in advance!
Check to see that you are connected to the blue wire on the wiring harness metra. you must connect the blue wire / white wire to the blue. It appears that you have connected blue to blue. the blue wire / white is the AMP tower wire and power as long as the radio is on. the blue wire is the antenna wire has power and skill that when the radio is on and the source is radio. When you change the source ie: CD or an iPod, it kills the power wire goes to low-power antenna if your car has one. This resembles what is your problem.antenna and an amplifier power plant or often times connected via the same circuit. I am 99.999% sure this is your problem. Connect the blue / white radio Alps and the blue on the harness metra. problem solved.

Alpine CDA-9885 Auxillary Input Won't Work?
Feb 08, 1801 by TheBonecrusher89
I have a 3 month old Alpine CDA-9885 installed in my Fiero. When it was installed, I asked for them to hook up an input wire/plug so I could hook up MP3 players, my phone, etc.. However, the input simply will not work, and I've checked to make sure it's physically plugged in.
I've put it in both "Aux" mode and "Aux Digital" yet whatever I plug into it, all I hear is silence.
Anyone know what is wrong with my deck?
ALSO: The plug I am using is the same plug that normal headphones use, just with the same plug at both ends, AND I have tested the wire, my phone and MP3 player on my stereo that has auxiliary input and it works.
Maybe its your phone or mp3
