Why are my subs/amp turning off?
Feb 05, 2885 by mhs_xc14
know exactly what is the problem. gain is about 1 / 4 with low head piece on the bass and 13/15 overall 3 / 7. when the system is mounted to 20/35 for heavy bass hittin songs he stopped immediately. I either turn off my car or my bridge linking the submarine and / or AMP to rekindle. Here's my setup:
Bridge: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500CDA9886/-Alpine CDA-9886.html? tp = 5684
Speakers: http://www.audison.de/hertz/energy/ecx16 5.html
Speaker amp: ockford http://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P2002P/R-Fosgate-Punch-P200-2.html? TP = 115
amp subs: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/alpine-mr pm850-1500w-digital-mono-amplifier-p-104 0.html
subs: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_13610W3V32/ JL-Audio-10W3v3-2.html?showAll=N&tp= 111 (not exactly sure on these since they were bought at a pawn shop but i believe this is them)
i don't think the speakers are the problem (just want to give you the setup so you could better answer the question) because it didn't do this when i had a much smaller single 12" sub with a different amp. i upgraded to the bass amp/subs and it started doing this.
the subs are also BRIDGED.. not know if this has no effect, but let me know. thank you for all the responses so far guys.
Well, the eyes of one you probably use your amp to a 1ohm load and this amp is not stable at 1ohm.
Because your subs are 2ohm SVC and you probably wired in parallel, which is giving you a 1ohm load.
There, for the amp is shutting off to protect themselves from blowing up.
Do you have both positive from submarines go to the positive terminal of the amplifier and the same for the negatives.
And the wide range on the i own set of cards is my self.
