I have always wanted to give Bazooka tubes a try, so I finally took the plunge... and I'll never regret it. First off, I drive a 2001 Chevy Silverado, regular cab that much needed a sound system upgrade. The original factory speakers, over the past 10 years, had all but fallen apart. After replacing them, I was pleased with the volume that came from the new speakers, but was let down that the music really had no "thump" to it. Years ago in my youth, I had been a big-time car audio enthusiast. I have had loud, booming systems, but now, I really didn't want to go that overboard with it. Besides, the model truck I have does not leave a lot of room for woofers, especially since I used the space behind the seats for storage. But still, I wanted a better bass response in my music. Smooth, clean with good performance. I like all the bass frequencies at the level they were recorded, not ear shattering boom,boom at some and nothing at others. On some songs there are several different bass notes and this unit faithfully reproduces them. The level is very adequate for my Accord. The small size allows me to mount the Sub just in front of the driver's seat which gives good spacial (bass in front) sense. When someone shorter has to drive the car, I simply undo the straps move the Sub.

I installed this amplified bass tube in my 2009 Ford F-150 supercrew expecting to get a little more bass. I was totally suprised at the amount of bass and quality it produced. It fits perfectly under my rear seats and produces plenty of bass in the cabin without making everyone else outside my vehicle hear my music. It was easy to install and does a great job keeping up with quick bass notes that larger speaker have a hard time keeping up with. I also purchased the optional bazooka remote bass controller switch which is a must for adjusting the amount of bass for different types of music all from the drivers seat.

amplified tube subwoofer?
Mar 11, 2008 by Terran BI have a 2000 GMC Yukon and want to buy a 250W Woofer BAZOOKA tube. Will this pc good buy, just for an upgrade from stock?
tubes ok just do not expect much from this big SUV. Search for audio because there are boxes stelth JL. theres MTX or turns your console before in a box under if you want to always be aware of the tube, it must draw on the rear hatch within 6 inches of him.
- This will be an upgrade from stock, but not much.
Watch the RMS power.
These tanks are really crappy things, but this will provide extra bass slightly.
Why did my car stereo turned off itself and won't turn on again?

3 days ago it was fine, I was driving and it shut down, then turned on again almost instantly. It happened twice. The 3rd time was last night, but this time it never turned on again. Volume was not so high, and I already checked the car fuses, except the stereo's fuse [the one at the back of the unit] and they are fine I think. And this happened only after I got an amplified subwoofer installed. It draws power straight from the car's battery, not from the stereo.
Car: Honda Civic 98
Stereo: Kenwood I-don't-remember-the-model but with USB
Sub: Amplified Bazooka
It did it again. It turned on itself just now. Then off. Then on.

I'd check the wiring from the head unit... the new amp. may also be pulling too much power from your battery.
civics have tiny batteries, i have an 05 civic and i'm about to upgrade to a yellow top. you might consider doing the same...
