how is "COUSTIC", car audio speakers?

car amp broken??

in my car i have a coustic power logic amp. it says "150 watts per channel RSM. but it also says AMP 360.

the subwoofers are 2 10" woofers with tweeters... and it says the peak power is 200watts each.

when i crank it up... the speakers sometimes stop playing... then continue.. and stop again.. until i turn it down. the amp was pretty hot from being in the hot car with the sun on it... so i dont know. i turned it up and it seems fine now.. after it cooled but i dont know if it will happend again.

its not a loose input/out wire or anything cause i checked them all and jiggled the whole box while it was playing to see if anything was loose..

is there some kind of peak limiter? or someting?

ALSO theres a switch... 6dB 0dB and 12dB which should it be on? i have it on 6dB cause i like how it sounded.

the amp over heats becouse it is not a good amp i have a kicker and i never have problems with it.
