Agartala : Tripura will launch a disaster management programme in its schools to enhance the state's preparedness in an event of a natural calamity striking it, an official said here Monday.

"The government has launched an ambitious School Disaster Management Planning (SDMP) project from this academic session. Under it, teachers and students will be trained to deal with any natural disaster, including earthquake," state education department joint director Dilip Debbarma told IANS.

"The project will cover all the 4,465 schools across the mountainous state," he added.

According to Debbarma, the first phase of the disaster management training project will cover the teachers and subsequently it will be extended to the students.

The education department has sanctioned a fund of Rs.250,000 for this academic session to launch the programme in all schools up to Class 12.

Debbarma said that the district magistrates, sub-divisional magistrates and district education officials will supervise the project in areas under their jurisdiction.

How do I connect my sub?

Apr 28, 2008 by chuckles.221983
I just got a sub (earthquake 2000 watts) but I have no cords.
What cords do I need and what do I need to do with them.
The sub has its own amplifier on it and I have a jvc stereo.
Any help would be appriciated
You will need RCAs, speaker, power, ground and remote wires. If you have never done this before, I suggest taking to a professional because you will need to remove the deck from the dash to run wires and possibly remove inside car panels and seats in order to run your wires. You may also have to drill holes into your firewall.

Seismic Design of Buildings to Eurocode 8 $130.00 eBooks.com It will be of value to a wide range of practising civil and structural engineers at different stages of their careers; and should also be of direct use to academics preparing courses and worked examples on seismic design to EC8, to advanced undergraduate students, and to Masters level students in Earthquake, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering. Its contributors are either senior academics with significant consulting experience, or leading practitioners, which gives the book a strong industry emphasis. The book stems from practical short courses on seismic design, run jointly by the Society for Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED) and Imperial College London. This book covers seismic design in a clear but brief manner and links the principles to the code, illustrated with design examples. Concrete and steel buildings, and their foundations, are given special emphasis but the book is also applicable to many other types of structure and sub-structure.
EM Detection of Concealed Targets $134.00 eBooks.com These concealed targets may be explosive devices or weapons, which can be buried in the ground, concealed in building structures, hidden under clothing, or inside luggage. Concealed targets may also be people who are stowaways or victims of an avalanche or earthquake. Readers gain an understanding of the physics underlying electromagnetic (EM) detection methods, as well as the factors that affect the performance of EM detection equipment, helping them choose the right type of equipment and techniques to meet the demands of particular tasks. As a result, this publication is essential for scientists and engineers who are developing or using EM equipment and techniques for a diverse range of purposes, including homeland security, crime prevention, or the detection of persons. Although much information is available in conference proceedings and professional society publications, this book brings all the relevant information in a single, expertly written and organized volume. Among the topics covered are: Ultra-wideband radar and ground-penetrating radar Millimeter, sub-millimeter, and terahertz systems Radar systems including Doppler, harmonic, impulse, FMCW, and holographic Radiometric systems Nuclear quadrupole resonance systems Author David Daniels has many years of experience designing and deploying EM systems to detect concealed targets.
