Kit 2 voies séparées Focal PS130

May 17, 2012 |

Certified Mobile Technician, but not an expert, May I please get some assistance? Thank You.?

Oct 07, 2008 by Assassin Tai
Hello everyone, I'm working on a vehicle. I intend to turn an old car that's sitting in the garage in the Decepticon, Soundwave. For those Transformer fans, you know who he is, for those who are not, is a robot transformer that transforms into a cassette micro-enterprises.The reason why I chose this character is to cause something he is attacking with her, and with about 2000 watts flying, that's gotta irritate many in the neighborhood: P

Before asking questions I just want to say that I work CarStar so I do a lot of auto body work and deal with a lot of work on cars, I am also certified with MECP, but I am not an expert on practice of the end car audio, but to become an expert you should learn from experts, which is why I am here.

So I hope to get all the help I can and I thank you all for your help in advance. Thank you.

So my project, as I said earlier, I turn into a Chevrolet Cavalier that I en-vision Soundwave would be if it were a car. I will not explain how I'm going to pull this off, just trust me, I know what I'm doing. But as for the audio portion of car, now that I am not an expert, so here's where I need help.

These are my products, I have 2 and 1 Clarion DPX1800 Clarion APX4240 amps. To my subs, I'll have 2 or 4 10 "Kicker Solo-Baric L5 Subs, wired to 2 ohms 1 amps DPX1800, the amplifier DPX1800 else, I'll book a 15" Kicker L7 Solo-Baric Sub.Now my APX4240, it's gonna be 4 Focal Polyglass 165 VR3.

Before I begin, I just want to say I'm not talking about the earth, for it would be obvious to do, just a heads up.

Here is what I plan to do the upgrade to 160 amps alternator, a battery change to extreme orbital battery duty cycle, and of course, upgrading the "Big 3".

I wanted to get a fuse ANL 250 amps or 300 amps and a ANL fuse holder and all the son of one of the battery on the trunk with wire 1/0-AWG. The I'll distribute in 3 4 AWG son.3 4 AWG son would each connect to a 1 Farad cap, then connect to each amp. Then, the source unit that I have not decided on which one to use my son to have remote start and 3 RCA audio cables down the other side of the car to each amp.

The Clarion Amp APX4240'm gonna wire behind the source unit and connect them connection to speaker harness. Then I'll connect the cables 165 Polyglass Focal VR3 home wiring with a wiring harness and just do a little custom work to have everything in its proper location.

Now DPX1800 Clarion amps, I'll do some work custom trunk and I am connecting one DPX1800 to 2 Ohms at 15 "Kicker L7 Solo-Baric Subwoofer with 10 AWG speaker. DPX1800 With the second, I will log in 2 ohms to 2 or 4 10 "Kicker Solo-Baric L5 Subwoofers with 10-AWG speaker.

I think it's the right way to perform this procedure, but as I mentioned before, I am not an expert. So I need to know if this is correct, or if someone has a better method of wiring, or any other advice and knowledge that can give me a hand in this journey of mine.

Thank you in advance, I thank all the help.
This has been a while since I installed the caps, but I think they should go before any distribution block. I ran the remote with the main supply side of the vehicle too. I know he is pretty much a problem, but as a rule of thumb, I always isolate. Have fun.

Ground correctly! J / K lol.
  • Yahoo Answers is a place laughable seek advice on car audio. Nobody and I mean anyone, anywhere is almost an expert here. I suggest you check some forums dedicated audio and post this there.

Two of my favorite forums are:
    soundsolutionsaudio.com
    caraudio.com
(soundsolutions with by far the worst of both)

You seem to have a good general understanding of the whole process of wiring, but you'd be making a huge mistake by using two different types of subwoofers. Do not mix and match.Make sure all drivers are the same in all aspects, which means the same enclosure, the same resistance and wattage.

I also want to inform you that gap capacitors. They really will not give you an advantage at all. Use this money to upgrade your farm or buy more batteries.
