I've loved this sub ever since I got it out of the box. Here are some things to remember when using this. 1: Don't under power this thing, I'd say at least 300w rms, but would recommend 400 or 500w. I have mine at 450w and it sounds awesome with no distorting at all. 2: Use the correct size enclosure or it won't sound good. I had mine in a small ported box at about 1.25 cubic feet.. and I only thought it sounded good. Ported enclosure with this sub should be at least 2 cu. ft. I went and got a good dual ported box at Car Toys, and all I can say is dear lord.. I went and soundproofed my trunk because it felt like the trunk would fall away from my car haha. So if you have a box that is the correct size, and the right power going into it, I would definitely say to go for it and buy this thing. It hits great, and gets all the lows and even highs. I have this hooked up to a Kenwood 9105d 1800 Watt Class-D Mono Amp and it sounds awesome. It has some impressive bass at high levels. It has plenty of bass even at 3-5/18 bass boost level. It will hit very hard if you want it to.

For $50 shipped overnight to my door, this sub is the best deal on Amazon!! I have it mounted in a .8 cubic foot Atrend sealed box for tighter and more accurate bass. Powering it is a Boss 1500W mono amp running 450W rms. This speaker pounds for being budget friendly!! I loved the old BOOM BOOM cops always pullin me over days, but I just turned 37 and my ears are becoming more sensitive and want a more cleaner sound. This sub fits the bill. This is not a SPL sub. If you want to be noticed and heard 2 blocks away, then look into the Kicker L5 and new L3 series. If you are on a budget and still want boom, then this sub in a 2.00 cubic ported box may still get you what you are looking for. I love this sub!!By the way, the plastic trim ring is useless and broke as soon as I drove the first screw.
