What does my lanzar 4000 watt max Pro Amp really pump ... Is it really pushing 4000 watts or how and why?
yes about what other guys have said ... But do not worry too much about this when I was like 16 i had saved as $ 160 to buy one Boss 3000 Watt Amp I saw on ebay. I thought it was the best deal out there, but later I learned that the BOSS brand is it not better, quality, reliable, I thought it was the brand.

Basically, there is this thing called CEA-certifiaction on the amp and also look for amps that come with leaves of birth estimated at 14.4 volts or less. if an amp comes with two of those you can go wrong

How do i fix my lanzar amp from going into protect mode?

I have a 1300 watt lanzar vibe. I have 2- 12' speakers wired in a parrell series. It comes on fine and within 10 sec. goes straight into protect mode.
If they are single 4 ohm voice coils and you wire them in parallel, you are presenting a 2 ohm mono load to the amp. Lanzar Vibe amplifiers cannot go below 4 ohms bridged. you can wire 2 4 ohm svc woofers in stereo (one speaker to left, one to right), or in series ( + on one to - on the other, and then connect the remaining 2 terminals to the amp bridged) this would be an 8 ohm mono load and you would send about 50% of the rated power at 4 ohm mono to the subs.

IF you are using 8 ohm woofers, than the problem is most probably a short in your wiring. Also, if you are using DVC (dual voice coil) subs, you need to wire each sub in series (one coil + to the other coil -) and then wire the two subs in parallel (connect the remaining + to +, and - to -)

I would give it 95% odds that the amp is seeing less than a 4 ohm load.

If you continue to run the amp forcing it into protect, it will eventually die. Low impedence is the #1 cause of amplifier failure.
