I have two
alpine type 1542 R 15 "subwoofer DVC and I just bought a TE MTX 1501D Mono Block Amplifier Class D AMP is 1500 watts RMS and 4500, the subwoofers are 750 and 2000 watts RMS each, would the amp be able to manage both submarines, or do I need a bigger amp, and also Do Ya Think alpine type R 1542 15 "are good, Should I get 2 MTX
9500.
- I have owned a pair of 15" Type R's and they are great subs. I now have 12" Type R's.
As far as the amp. It will push those subs very well wired in parallel to 1 ohm. As long as your alternator can handle the power supply needed for the amp.
Here is a good link on how to wire two 4 ohm DVC subs to one ohm in case you don't already know.

MTX amps often do more than what they are rated at. Even though its rated at 1500 rms, you could very well be getting upwards 1700 watts depending on voltage.
how do i modify my "MTX 1501D" amp to 1omh?

you cant! i own the exact same amp! you need to put a 4ohm load to each of the 2channels which internally bridges down to 2ohms. 1500watts at 2 ohms is awesome if you were to bring it to 1ohm you would destroy the amp! the circuitry couldnt handle it!. if you got any other ?'s email me!
