I Dont know how to adjust my Mtx thunder Amp! Help?

I have a Pro Mtx Blue Thunder Amplifier its a 75 X 2ch. It sounds awful.
I dont know whats the Frequency button for and the Gain. It also has two buttons one that says X- Over and the another one that says HP or Lp...what is that.. I have a Pioneer car stereo 50 x 4 please help out:)

What are you pushing with it? the frequency control just that the high to low noise... lower freq. are for subs the higher for highs ,the gain is like a volume control it regulates the power output ,the higher you turn it the louder it will get. The hp lets only high frequency noise thru and the Lp lets the thump only sounds thru. If you are using this on a sub try going with LP,turn the frequenct all the way to the low setting 50Hz or whatever your amp is in that range then slowly turn the gain up with you stereo at about 3/4 volume till you achieve the sound you are looking for. If using on highs use the hp side and turn the freq. the othe rway then start turning ther gain up. I f you are using on a sub you really need a bigger amp.
