pioneer DEH-P3000IB and sub woofer?
Nov 29, 2008 by orephen81
Hi
Im a noob
audio so make it easy plz: D
I bought a
Pioneer DEH-P3000IB and a 12 "600watt (300W Continuous)
Now the head unit has RCA jacks on the back of the sub tried to connect everything, but cannot get the sub to work, I need an amp?
Yes you definitely need an amp, in your work if you connect directly to your head unit but there is not enough power to actually move the sub.
- Yes! An amplifier is what drives your submarine. With an amp for your subs are just weight. I recommend an amp that matches your 300 watts of continuous power.
You will connect the RCA jacks of the stereo to the amp and a remote turn on wire.
Pioneer DEH-P3000IB Car Stereo?

I'm thinking about getting the
Pioneer DEH-P3000IB for my car. It's a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S. There are 2 tweeters in the front, two front regular speakers, and two rear speakers. I think the
pioneer has two preamp outputs. Is this a good unit?
It's fine, provided you don't do a lot of radio listening. The lack of station preset buttons on the
faceplate make it a bit more of a hassle to change radio channels. If you're planning to listen mostly to iPod or CD's, then it's a good choice.
Remember that you'll need to purchase a separate cable to control an iPod with this deck. If you plan to use another brand of MP-3 player (not an Apple iPod) then you might want to step up to the DEH-P4000UB. This deck has a USB input that will work with many MP-3 players and flash drives, as well as an iPod.
