For the past 4 years I've been using a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP car stereo which is almost identical to the . I really liked the Pioneer as it seemed to really be able to liven up my 1998 Toyota Corolla factory speakers and had several features I regularly used and loved. I decided it was time to upgrade recently as my old Pioneer was having difficulty playing CDs while the AC was on, and it was making ticking sounds with many of my CDs. I decided right off the bat I was going to stick with Pioneer. I spent a few days researching units and the main thing I kept noticing with many of the new 2010 Pioneer CD Players was the choice of going with one that had HD Radio or going with one that had Bluetooth functionality. It doesn't appear you can get a Pioneer with both. I decided to go with the HD Radio...

Is the Pioneer DEH-P6000UB a decent car stereo head unit for a smaller budget?
Feb 08, 5875 by mach1stangI am looking into this model of car. I've always had luck with Pioneer, and I liked this model because it has the USB for use with iPod and USB adapter or a flash drive. For now I have a 2001 Silverado truck, and the factory Delco CD player is just ugly, and lacks features. If you have a better unit with the same characteristics, and the same price range, could you recommend to me?
Honestly it's a really good radio. I am a big fan of the radio pioneer, but they are over-valued Kinda (I think). I'd say it's a good choice and you will enjoy it greatly. This will prolly be your best bet for a radio with these features. I know that the driving phase and JVC both made one, but they both really suck more, you get the cable from the iPod with the 6000UB and you do not with another. And with a front motorized pioneer graphics are very nice.
