A Putnam Township man reported to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department that someone stole items from his vehicle.

The 58-year-old victim, who lives in the 3100 block of Hunters Way in the Saddlebrooke subdivision, said he believes he unintentionally left the driver's door of his Ford Explorer Sport Track pickup unlocked in his driveway.

He said he later noticed that the detachable faceplate from his Pioneer stereo was missing although the stereo itself was still in the pickup. The faceplate was valued at about $150.

The victim said his tools and his TomTom navigation system also were still in the vehicle.

The incident occurred between 6 p.m. May 6 and 11:30 a.m. May 7.

I lost my front Pioneer have also lost the manual and everything that goes with ... I wondered how I could understand the model number of the car so I can order a plate before nine?

How to detach a flip down Pioneer faceplate?

I just recently bought a premiere Pioneer car stereo. However the shop forgot to give me the box with the manual which I will be getting in a few days. During that time I want to be able to detach my faceplate for security reasons of course. Can anyone help me figure out how I can achieve this? I can't figure it out.
Removing the faceplate from any Pioneer head unit simply entails lowering the faceplate ( by pushing the button at the top-right corner), and the pulling the now-open faceplate straight out away from the deck. To replace it, simply align the faceplate as it normally sits on the front of the deck, and pushing it gently but firmly into place.
