I was wondering if my Pioneer radio that came with the Aztek has RCA jack for connecting some additional speakers? Or do I need a new radio.

I do not remember "stock" radio with RCA outputs, but if you do. The RCA amps are generally connections to the radio, then the amp to connect speakers real.

i have a gmc truck and it has a pioneer radio with a cd player. I would like to know if i can somehow play my ipod through my speakers. I know you can if you have a tape player but i don't hav a tape player?

There are three ways you can do this.

First, depending on the model of the radio, if it's a fairly current model (built within the last year), there should be an auxiliary input jack on the front of the radio. It will look like a headphone jack with the word "AUX" or "LINE IN" over it. You can get a stereo cable that will plug into this jack and into the headphone jack of your iPod at any electronics retailer. This would be the cheapest and easiest way to set it up.

Second, you can buy an FM Transmitter. These don't work as well as the input jacks, as they rely on an FM station that receives no signal in your location. This usually occurs on the lower end of the FM frequency, between 87.9 and 89.9. The problem with this is that some college radio stations broadcast within that range, and if you live too close to a neighboring state, then the reception can be terrible.

Third, you can look into buying a TripTunes FM Modulator. This works on a similar principle as the transmitter, but actually works a lot better. Unlike the FM transmitters, which work with any radio in any model vehicle, the TripTunes modulators are usually built to factory specs for each brand of vehicle (Ford, GM, GMC, Chevy, Toyota, Honda, etc.) and model (Silverado, S-Series, Focus, Taurus, Tercel, etc.). This means that it will be a lot stronger than most transmitters. Check with your local GMC dealer and ask them if they carry the TripTunes for your truck. It should cost you no more than $50, and you can either ask them to install it, or to save money, take it to a car audio shop and have them install it.

I have a 2005 Ford Focus and had one installed about a month ago. I love it. It cost me $50 to order it from the dealership, and cost $70 to have it installed by a car audio place. The dealership had their own guy that did car audio work, but he was going to charge more than twice what I paid at the car audio place. I live out in a rural area that is very close to a bordering state. The station I have my TripTunes set to can be picked up out where I live, which means it may be a station based in that neighboring state, or else it's a station within my own state that has a strong broadcast signal. When I go to work, I have to drive through the capital of my state, where a lot of the radio stations are based. Even though I drive through that city, the station I have my TripTunes set to override doesn't come through at all, unless I turn the TripTunes off.
