What type of amp do I need for my 2 pw2 power acoustik subs?
Nov 26, 2008 by cashville_cw
I have two woofers Acoustik PW2 in power, they are 1200 watts each, I'm looking for a Power Acoustik amp that grow stronger than my eclipse ea4000 amp. If you have any negative comments please do not post, but if you can help me please.
If I had to use a power amplifier Acoustik, I would use it. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1463 9_Power + + Acoustik BAMF-2000-1D.html It's 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm. Just the son of submarines and coils together in parallel for a 1 ohm final load.
But I think it would do a better job. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7369 _PowerBass + ASA-1000.1D.

do i need to get a 2000 watt amp to power my 2 12 inch power acoustik FUBR subs?
Apr 12, 2008 by teriada
my 2 subs equal 3600 hundred watts max (1800 each) and the rms for each one is 800. 1600 watts rms. lol so can anybody tell me if i need to hook up both subs to a 1 channel or a 2 channel ampl?. and i need to know the wattage of the amp..please?
Those are mono dual voice coil subs and should be wire in parallel down to a 1ohm load. A 1 channel 2000 watt @ 1ohm amp will power them perfectly. Just make sure you set your gains correctly. I had a pair of Power Acoustik subs and blew em with a 1200watt amp. I honestly dont think they can handle the rated wattage that they claim, but thats just my personal opinion. I would invest in some better quality subs like some
Kicker CVR's or Cadence CVLW's. They operate with less power and out perform lower quality subs.
