Recommendations for an spl audio system?

I want to buy a car for example, the audio system. subunit, the amp head. I did some research on the Internet, but there are many contradictory nature advice.The system I want is SPL. I got about 150 pounds for a penny and £ 150 for an amp and about £ 100 for a unit head. Can any point me in the right direction or give me some recommendations for manufacturers SPL?
Pioneer said the world record for the SPL when I think with 180.1.

With what you are looking to spend, you can put together a decent system. With as much money as you should stick to Alpine, Pioneer, and JL for subwoofers

Car audio vs pro audio power compression and spl?

i know a good pro audio speaker (97-99 sensitivity) only has a power compression of about 2-3db.

what is the average power compression for car audio subwoofers?

which type of subwoofer (pro audio/car audio) would most likely have more spl?
im askin cause pro audio because of its efficiency but caraudio because of its high xmax and ability to move air?
Depends on many variables. If you have the room for a huge ported box, the PA drivers can get VERY loud, enough to destory your hearing. However, PA drivers do NOT play the low low bass as well as a car subwoofer.

Most PA drivers have problems playing 30hz and under save for 18" woofers in giant enclosures, although some newer PA technology provides for sub-bass out of smaller woofers with very high xmax, creative enclosures, and lots of power.

Most car audio subs have sensitivity in the 85-90 range... it will take a LOT more power to play the levels a PA speaker with 97-99 sensitivity can.
