I was looking for inexpensive dB level meter and it appears this one just fits the budget and requirements. Granted that for very accurate pro work one would need to cough out 200 USD MOL, but all I wanted was decent, durable, fairly accurate and priced low gizmo. I am actually very familiar with sound level test equipment because of my profession, and I took a liberty of inside look so to speak - the thing is very nice copy of expensive design, and not too shabby when it comes to details and calibration access. Here is your Home Theatre creation and you want to test how speakers are performing in different places in your room, another option is checking why one of your electric space heaters motors is an annoying to be around (you get lower or higher frequency test). You may also check that PC case with all extra fans you've added and see how much you need to crack them down now. dont know how good it is but u can get a cheap 1 at meijers for like $20 by the car audio section. finding 1 that reads to 200 for cheap wont be easy though. most go to 150-175 or so
